Ana María Sánchez serves as the Office Manager at Malik & Associates, PLLC, where she brings exceptional legal knowledge and leadership to the firm. A Venezuelan attorney, Ana María graduated first in her class and established an esteemed reputation as a Criminal Judge, presiding over cases involving common crimes, drug offenses, money laundering, and gender-based violence. Additionally, she has served as a university professor of law in Venezuela, shaping the next generation of legal professionals.
Deeply committed to human rights advocacy, Ana María’s legal career has extended beyond the bench. She has worked with the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in Costa Rica and has been a speaker at international legal conferences, sharing her expertise across multiple jurisdictions.
Upon immigrating to the United States in 2018, Ana María developed a passion for immigration law, an area in which she has worked extensively. While she brings valuable international legal experience, she is not licensed to practice as an attorney in the United States. However, she is recognized as a Foreign Legal Consultant (FLC) by the State Bar of Texas, a distinction granted to fewer than 75 foreign attorneys in the state.
Ana María holds multiple master’s degrees in Criminal Law, Criminalistics, Philosophy, Judiciary Career, and Human Rights, earned from prestigious institutions across Spain, Colombia, and Venezuela. She also holds a Master of Science of Law (Juris Master) and is certified as an Immigration Paralegal and a Human Rights Defender, officially recognized by the AICAC-HR Court.
In pursuit of her professional growth, Ana María is preparing to sit for the California Bar Exam.
